Né à Chicago en 1959, Monseigneur Robert Barron obtient son Doctorat de théologie sacrée à l'Institut Catholique de Paris en 1992, avant de devenir professeur de théologie puis directeur de séminaire à Chicago. En 2015, il est nommé évêque auxiliaire de Los Angeles. En 2000, avec le soutien du Cardinal Georges, il fonde le mouvement d'évangélisation Word on Fire (www.wordonfire.org) qui produit des films d'évangélisation (Catholicisme, Les sacrements entre autres), des émissions de radio, des livres. Un institut d'Evangélisation est lancé en 2018, Word on Fire Institute, qui regroupe plus de 13500 membres partout dans le monde.
